A client asked a very good question a few days ago. She’s pregnant: What is the best day to give birth (if induced)?

Obviously the time of the year is what it is and the time of the day is hard to control it as a mum-to-be can’t hold it as she pleases, but actually they can choose the day if induced. Or they can’t?

No matter what type of induction: if via sweep or prostaglandins IV. It is hard to know when the baby will come to the world.

I might understand the concern of mums-to-be to provide to their baby the best future ever where planets, stars and houses benefit him in every possible way.

I think it really depends on what you’re wanting out of your birthing experience! I would always suggest go day by day and it might be too much pressure over the mum to think about the best or worst future for a baby.

However let’s talk about each day briefly. I won’t go into detail as I don’t want this post to become a book.

  • Monday, rules by the Moon would be a great day to harvest that fertile and maternal energy, motherly instincts might kick in more smoothly.
  • Tuesday, ruled by Mars, could provide the energy and passion required of giving birth, and just provide a real “go-getter” attitude about doing something extremely taxing.
  • Wednesday: I wouldn’t recommend, but it has it’s perks. Ruled by Mercury who is associated with hospitals/health institutions, good communication amongst medical staff.
  • Thursday, ruled by Jupiter, brings great abundance, joy, jubilee! This would be my top recommendation.
  • Friday, ruled by Venus, a beautiful, lovely day to give birth. Might feel more exhausting as Venus is relaxation, but you will truly revel once the babe is in your arms.
  • Saturday, ruled by Saturn, a disciplined and sober day that will be no nonsense and ideally to the point. I see this day as having fewer complications.
  • Sunday, ruled by the Sun, the start of a new work and being able to bask in the glow of new life you created, as does the Sun.

Top recommendations personally: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. However a chart should be properly study but getting born on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday don’t necessary mean something bad is going to happen. Ultimately nothing in astrology is good or bad, it just depends on what you’re seeking.

If we go a bit further, medical astrology has a lot guidelines for this matter which I consider highly interesting. I would say that the main thing would be to avoid Moon in Scorpio (Scorpio rules reproduction) avoid Mars conjunct your natal nodes and avoid Full Moon. There are more but you are limited to what your doctor can schedule.

I understand it gives humans some kind of safe feeling to feel like you can have some control but the truth is we have little control in some situations once we come into human form. There’re no good and bad placements. We all decide our placements before we incarnate. We may think we are in control as parents/health professionals but we are never in control. The universe and reality are always perfect. The best time is leaving the baby for the longest in can stay in the womb (as long as there are no medical condition) so they can develop the fullest they can. Then letting the fate to choose.
