Saturn represents the psychological function of “construction”. It gives us the right structure of what we are and what we will be. Wherever our natal Saturn is located in our chart gives us the pathway where we’re going to build our life. The house where we build our life and the zodiac sign shows how we’re going to do it.

Aspects involved with our natal Saturn will influence for sure; but Saturn always makes us evolve. Saturn also represents a defensive restrictive shield so it usually represents the most rational part of us against our emotional’s weaknesses, our vulnerabilities. Saturn protects us against the unknown and pushes to be stuck on the comfort’s zone. Don’t get confused by Saturn: it hides our weaknesses instead of building strong characters. I believe those people who look strong on the outside, but they’re actually weak on the inside represent by definition what Saturn makes into our lives.

When Pluto transits over out natal Saturn, it creates a difficult and challenging episode in life. Pluto’s function is “deconstruct” the planet, strip the planet; in order to clean it up and get reborn again. Therefore Pluto destroys the solid and rocky Saturn: it makes us question our values and rules, our moral’s principles. No matter what aspects are happening between Pluto & Saturn: there is always conflict. There is a winner on this conflict and always it is the same: PLUTO

How do we see this conflict in our lives?

It would be always represented by events, situations or people that come up in our lives. However it doesn’t necessary mean that those events, situations or people will force a change inside us but it will stimulate us to change. There is some sort of magnetism coming from outside of our comfort zone where a series of events will happen to kick us out.

We’re always feeling the RESISTANCE TO CHANGE on this aspect. As more resistance we perform, more radical the change is. As more we put up resistance, more painful the trauma becomes. Pluto performing aspect with Saturn can happen when we lose a beloved person and we can’t overcome the loss of a loved one; or a woman trying to conceive but can’t get pregnant in any way, finishing a relationship or quitting a job. This is something like accepting the new reality and living with it, that’s Pluto aspecting Saturn.

Pluto is pushing you to choose between black and white; hence do not expect half-way changes or a bit of change: profound and radical changes MUST happen. We need to learn to leave back habits, ways of thinking, moral’s truths.

What can we do with Pluto aspecting our Saturn?

We have 2 solutions only: ACCEPTANCE or RESISTANCE. Either way there is pain unfortunately. However Pluto (against some believes) is trying to heal you. Therefore the change is on your benefit on the medium-long term.

I believe if we accept the sacrifice, everything will go well but if we resist the change, Pluto is going to consume us and we can expect the worst: falling into drugs, etc. Obviously we need to look where Saturn is located in our house. If it is on the 7th, then there will be a big change with people into our lives: business partners, our husband/wife, etc. The zodiac sign also is important as it tells us what type of energy will be involved.

The deconstruction of our comfort zone

This is usually painful and hard to do, but deeply inside of you know that needs to happen. If it is opposition or square, Pluto is dressed as external agents (e.g people, boss, girlfriend) which forces us to show our true face. We obviously feel vulnerable and lack of energy to rebuild our lives (e.g I got divorced at the age of 55… Who is going to love me now? /// I can’t have a baby… What purpose do I have now in life?).

Well, you need to rebuild another thing. That’s the moment of truth where you need to rebuild your life. You don’t feel a victim of this situation because you eventually realize that you basically have been covering the gaps with the real problems there. Maybe you’re trying to behave as your father (or the reference) but you realize that you want to be different than him overcoming his weaknesses: you want to become better than your father. You basically need to be unique developing your own father-self. These generates so much internal conflicts against the power.

The good point is that eventually you realize in the future that the change was necessary.
