Simon Harris was confirmed as the youngest Irish’s Prime Minister on the 9th April 2024 after a switch political rise. It happened exactly when transiting Chiron trine his Natal Uranus which exposed him to take a chance and explore new and unusual experiences. This is something he would’ve ever expected on his life as a politician. This is not something he didn’t really pursuit neither. However he seems to be eager to branch out and express his true potential with his sights keenly focused on the future rather than the past.

Interestingly, the decision to point him out as PM was discussed on the 2nd April (a week earlier) during the Transit Jupiter opposite Natal Mercury as he was pointed out faults on him which he found irritating rather than helpful. The same day, there was a Transit Saturn conjunct his Natal Jupiter which involves making your dreams reality. He was forced to reassess his goals in life. This last transit won’t end till January 2025 so he is going through some life changes, not only as a politician but personal life: his assignation as PM might affect his relationship with his wife where he asks for commitment and reliability: any problem have been pushed up from the underground so I recommend them to loosen the reigns of his expectations and ride the changes together. 

His rise this year has been quite meteoric as he became leader of Fine Gael (political party) on the 24th March, a few weeks earlier than being assigned Taoiseach. It happened 2 days after his Natal Venus opposite Transit Uranus, meaning that his major relationships were undergoing great changes, unexpected, which he found threatening. It also means these changes were initiated by external circumstances (Note Leo Valdakar resigned unexpectedly as Prime Minister on the 20th March at the Spring Equinox of Rebirth and New Beginnings). It looks like his political party “forced” him to step up on his responsibilities within, as his colleagues felt his deep inner need for change. 

Simon feels alive and energetic for the new challenges coming up, prepared to venture forth into unexplored territories and he sees it with plenty of opportunities. 
He is the kind of person who needs to have his life filled with meaning and purpose. Simon is intensely single-minded and driven, quite ambitious although his colleagues might not feel it that way as it seems quite hard to know what’s on his mind. However Simon seems a person who has been valued by colleagues and superiors alike.

“As a proper leader, he doesn’t have to be told or instructed what to do. If there is something to be done, he will most likely just get out there and do it.”

One additional truth is that if he loses interest of faith in his job, he will quit immediately without considering whether or not he has another job waiting in line. He is usually propose driven so if he looses sight of that “purpose”, he just stops doing what he does.

No question his meteoric political career can be explained by his popularity in the workplace: Simon gets along with everyone. Intensely sociable in nature, he is always up for a chat or a laugh.

Thanks to his rational thinking, he can separate issues of work from issues of emotion. 

What we can expect from his governance is a person’s style being proper and precise where numbers are concerned. He is very conscientious and like to have everything under his care an control so he will therefore spend a considerable amount of time putting his paperwork or research in order. He doesn’t like inefficient wastage of resources and funds so as such, we can not expect sudden changes in the middle of his governance. 

Astrologically speaking, Simon is rarely autocratic and close-minded. He always appreciates his team to share their opinions with him. He will consider every opinion thoroughly and turn it over in his mind to see the good and bad points.

He should be careful about overestimating how much he is capable of. He has a tendency to overstretch himself and endure “unnecessary” stress. 

This year 2024 is promising quite challenging for him dealing with the opposition in the Parliament. During Transit Saturn opposite Midheaven in Virgo around Oct 2024 might require him to take more time and attention to his endeavors as PM. He might be required to take on extra responsibilities through renovation of his Cabinet. 

He is going to be confident and optimistic and life seems to be more than meeting his expectations. He is actually going to enjoy working towards his goals and he is going to have plenty of energy to achieve his goals. Therefore he is going to achieve success and his chart assure success on his role.
